Nationwide domestic coverage is augmented by 12 regional services which provide news coverage from all the federal states which make up the country. New central dpa-editorial desk in Berlin
The new dpa international editorial news centre has been in operation in Berlin since summer 2010. Located in the historic newspaper publishing quarter of the capital, the new central desk coordinates multimedia news coverage in German, English and Spanish. The newsroom in the Markgrafenstrasse 20 and close to the former Checkpoint Charlie is now the main Berlin office, covering 3,800 square metres. It ensures the maximum synergy between the many dpa editorial departments.

The main Berlin office is also home to around 15 seasoned political reporters who deal with German-language news involving the German Chancellor, Germany's political parties, the country's ministries and new legislation along with the many federations and a wealth of other topics and assignments. These experts often accompany politicians during public visits abroad, attend international summits and report from the congresses of political parties.

From September 1949 until July 2010 the white stucco villa on Mittelweg in the centre of Hamburg was the editorial headquarters of the agency. The former Royal Bavarian consulate building in the Hanseatic city still houses the commercial side of the business, including management, sales and other non-editorial departments.
The dpa platform enables access to dpa's vast library of texts, pictures and graphics. It provides customers with real-time search facilities as well as quick searches of archive material.
